About PCMS-HRG
A student humanoid robot team from Macau — the people, the platforms and the problems we are working on.
Who We Are
PCMS-HRG is a student team at Pui Ching Middle School (Macau), founded in November 2025. We programme autonomous humanoid robots for the RoboCup Humanoid Soccer League, the World Humanoid Robot Games and RoboCup Asia-Pacific (RCAP).
Across every event — league soccer, 3v3, Humanoid OnStage and the half marathon — the robots see, decide and move without remote control. Students build the perception, motion, match strategy and multi-robot coordination that make every play possible.
Programme Lines & Robots
Two platforms, one team: Booster T1 for full-size league soccer and Booster K1 for agile multi-robot competitions.
T1 Line
Full-size league soccer

The full-size track. Booster T1 is our RoboCup platform — the Humanoid Soccer League's Large Division, where we play the Major bracket against university and research laboratory teams. Everything here is about robustness at scale: gait stability on a big biped, fall recovery, and holding a strategy together across a full match.

K1 Line
Agile multi-robot play

The compact track. Booster K1 is light, quick and tough enough to take repeated falls, which makes it the right machine for 3v3 soccer, stage performance and long-distance road events. It is also where the team grows: a smaller robot means more of them, so more students get hands on a real platform at the same time.

Software Stack
Both lines share one toolchain, so what a student learns on K1 carries straight over to T1. The team runs the full engineering loop — algorithm design, simulation, then deployment on the real robot.
Coaches
Three teachers guide both lines across robotics, programming and engineering practice.
Team Members
Ten students share the work — C++ development, computer vision, strategy design, robot maintenance and match-day operation. Tags show which programme line each member runs.
Team Milestones
Group founded — three Booster T1 robots delivered
First power-on, first walk, first fall.
Weekly lab sessions begin
Motion tuning, vision pipeline and the first public demonstration at the affiliated primary school.
Invited to Beijing by Booster Robotics
Systematic training on ROS 2 deployment, YOLO inference, behaviour-tree strategy and multi-robot play — the team's first work on K1 hardware.
First official competitions
The Beijing Middle School Humanoid Soccer League, then the Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon as the only middle school in the field.
RoboCup 2026, Incheon — 5th in the world
The T1 line's debut in the Major bracket of the Humanoid Soccer League, Large Division.
RCAP champions and WHRG quarter-finalists
Two K1-line results in one month, and Macau's first appearance at the World Humanoid Robot Games.
The K1 fleet grows to eight
Seven Education Edition units plus one Geek Edition — enough robots for the whole squad to train in parallel.
